DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) -Diego Maradona has apologised to fans for Al Wasl's 5-0 thrashing by rival Dubai in the Etisalat Cup.
The football great and Al Wasl coach says Saturday's defeat "is but a small bump in the road ... the season is long and this is just one match."

Al Wasl reaffirmed its "full faith" in Maradona, who coached Argentina to the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals.
